Did you know that 65,000 undocumented students graduate from high school each year in the United States? As educators, we know that having access to a college education has a great impact on our students, their families and their entire communities. We change lives each day as we inspire our students to reach for their dreams. Unfortunately, these dreams are often deferred as undocumented students do not have full access to higher education. Today, we urge you to support “The Dream Act”*, a proposed legislation that would create a pathway to higher education and citizenship for undocumented students. By sending an email to your Congressional Representatives you are not only advocating for this college access initiative but also speaking out on behalf of our educational community.
